My Non-O visa expires on 20th July. I've been on this type of visa for a good few years now as my daughter is half Thai but I wasn't planning on renewing it this year as we're moving to Malaysia.
The plan was to move there on 20th July but Malaysia isn't letting foreigners in until at least September. So, if the Thai visa amnesty isn't extended, I'm wondering what options I might have. Would I be able to apply for a 60 day visa for visiting Thai family?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user has a Non-O visa expiring on 20th July and is moving to Malaysia. Due to Malaysian restrictions, they may need to extend their stay in Thailand. They seek options for remaining in Thailand, such as applying for a 60-day visa for visiting family or a 1-year extension of stay. Comments suggest that applying for an extension is advisable, and they can extend their current visa by paying a fee, despite not qualifying for a new Non-O visa.

OK thanks for the advice. I'll go apply next week then. I just wanted to check that I can apply for that visa. I can't apply for the Non-O again because I don't have the 400k in the bank for it. So, really hoping I can get into Malaysia soon! :)
Thanks. Yes, that's the visa I meant when I said I'll apply this week. I wasn't sure if I could get a 60 day visiting Thai family visa but seems like I can, so that's what I'm going to apply for - not the extension of stay.
then you won't get a year extension either (that requires the 400K baht in a thai bank account in your name only) so just apply for the 60 day visit thai family extension (that requires no proof of funds)
