Regarding the 500,000 THB bank requirement for 3 months (Thai visa), I’d like to share some insights.

(Note: Requirements can vary by country and case.)

🔑 Key Point:

The most important factor is proving that your source of income is genuine and stable. Your bank statement must clearly reflect this.

At the closing date, your balance should be at least 500,000 THB.

Simply depositing 500,000 in one go right before the submission or splitting it into large sums over a short period is not ideal and may not be accepted.

🇰🇭 Cambodia (As of July 2025):

If your 6-month statement shows regular income and expenses, and your balance at the closing date is at least 500,000 THB, it should generally be acceptable.

But again, do not just make a single lump-sum deposit of 500,000 THB right before your application. Immigration often reviews how your income came in over time.

Make sure your bank account clearly shows your income source — for example:

If you are a freelancer or remote worker, ensure your payment slip matches the amount shown in your bank statement.

You can strengthen your case by providing screenshots of your income source (e.g., Upwork, Fiverr, Wise, etc.).

📘 Bank Documents to Prepare:

Know which visa type you used when opening your bank account.

Keep your bank book updated, including stamped pages.

Take clear photos of:

Latest statement

Updated passbook

App balance (with timestamp)

If your bank account was opened with an old passport, make sure to update your new passport details at the bank.

If pages in your new passbook are linked to the old one, take photos of any reference stamps as well.

📸 When submitting photos of documents:

Include timestamps if required.

Be sure they’re clear and readable.

❗❗❗ Warning About Fakes:

Please don’t trust some agencies just because they are well-known. There have been real cases where agents faked documents, including:

Fake deposits without real money

Fake income sources

Photoshop-altered bank statements

Some people got into serious trouble because of this.

Always ask questions and verify everything yourself. Fake documents might seem easy, but the risk is high — you could lose money, get blacklisted, or be banned from entering the country again.

💡 Final Advice:

Work with a reliable and ethical agent who cares about doing things properly.

Before applying, double-check all your documents at least 3 times.

If you can’t afford to meet the full requirement, look for a legitimate company that can help prove your real income source (not fake paperwork).

I wish everyone the best of luck! I’ll continue sharing tips as I learn more.

Just remember: every country and case is different, so the safest way is to make sure your documents are genuine, consistent, and explainable.

Hey gang, I'm about to apply for the DTV from Australia, and I want to make sure I've covered all my bases before submitting. If applying as a remote worker, are payslips a NECESSITY, or will proof of my employment (ie contract) suffice? The website is sparse when it comes to requirements, and I don't want to have it rejected. I've been researching posts within the group, but still can't gauge if they're 100% needed.

Thanks in advance!

Hi guys, I plan on retiring to Thailand next year, I'm married to a Thai and was planning on going down the income route rather than dumping a lump sum in my Thai bank account. The British embassy no longer confirms income so do they accept a statement from a UK bank ?

Hi guys!

Any recent info on Jakarta?

Processing time

Proof of 500k baht for how long?

Heard someone report that they now require sometimes 2 or 3 months bank statements.

Can anyone confirm or deny or simply update on their process?

Thanks in advance!

Hi! I am applying for DTV workcation from the US.

I do not always have the $15,000USD in my account. I can have a family member send me a few $1000 to make my account balance reach that amount ( is this frowned on). However my bank statement would show that amount just reached my account. Can you just send the balance or are they being strict on needing to see all your transactions?

Also, I have a large amount in my IRA account, this is also my money. Does anyone know if they take that into account as well ?

I appreciate any clarity, feedback, suggestions on what worked for you 🙂

I'm currently in Vietnam and will apply for a DTV here. I intend to apply via the soft power Muay Thai option.

I will only have had the GBP equivalent of 500k THB in my primary account for 1 month prior to my application.

I can also show a monthly UK sourced income of the equivalent of 45000 THB per month. I'm not sure if this would benefit my DTV application in any way.

Would a 3 month UK bank statement showing the 500k THB for just 1 month be enough to satisfy the requirements in Vietnam?

Prior to this the money was scattered across different accounts and in investments.

Has anyone had a DTV approved in Vietnam with the money only showing present for 1 month?

Just landed at CGK airport and submitted application as soon as I had visa on arrival and WiFi connection.

Pending Document Check (1)

Notes: DTV application cost showed up as $343 on my card.

Visa on arrival for Indonesia was $32.

I submitted the following documents, combined into a single PDF.

-small cover/explanation letter

-Letter of acknowledgement from the state of Texas about my company registration.

-Receipt from when I made the payment for the company registration, to the state of Texas.

-My credit card statement from that month showing that payment.

-The original form form from when I did the company registration.
