Hello everyone! First time posting and looking for some advice.
My wife and I hold a mexican passport, and we are currently on a Visa On Arrival Stamp in Bangkok. We are looking to extend our stay for at least 3 more months, so we considered traveling outside of Thailand for a few days or weeks even, and applying for a 60 days Visa with 30 days extension from outside Thailand.
Are there any countries you recommend us applying for the Tourist Visa from? I've heard Penang, Malaysia is a good place to apply from.
Also quick note, we arrived in Thailand on June on a Special Tourist Visa, renewed it once on August 18th, had a 7 day extension at the Immigration Division 1 Office at the end of November and exited Thailand on December 2nd to visit Vietnam. We are back in Thailand on the VOA stamp as I mentioned earlier.
Should I be worried that because of our long stay our tourist visa might be refused?
Thank you in advance for the time and help!
Edit: I should add that I am due to leave Thailand on January 2nd, which is when our VOA stamp expires.
I've searched the group but am still not sure what the new requirements I need to bring with me to Vientiane Thai Consulate to get a SETV (I already have an appointment)
Should I need to prepare:
1. thb 20,000 or proof of funds from my bank account?
2. and printed onward ticket
specific questions about the bank statement/ bank book
*and as for the proof of funds from my bank account - the proof that I can provide is mostly in Hebrew language (I have Israeli passport)- from the bank website -
*what do they expect, want and need to see in the proof of the bank balance?
Hi look forward to your advice. I will need to apply for a new TR visa soon and plan to do it in Vientiane. This would be my 3rd TR visa and 2nd time to apply in Vientiane. Will they grant me a 3rd TR visa in a row? Would it be an issue to apply in Vientiane again or should I apply from a country where I have never applied before?
Planning to travel to Vientiane Monday as I have been offered a job here in Thailand. The company will provide me with a letter stating that and as far as I know I then apply for non b visa? I’ve been to Vientiane a few times for setv so know most of the process. My questions are:
1 is the Thai consulate open Monday?
2. Is non b pickup the next day the same as other visas
3. Is there anything special I need with me other than the letter offering me a job?
I’m the first foreigner they have hired for about 15 years so the companies knowledge is shaky at best so would appreciate any answers.
Have a Visa Run Coming up to Laos, someone mentioned I need to show bank statements or have 30k baht on me.. Seems strange just wanted to check here if anyone has had this needed?
I got my 2nd tourist visa yesterday in Vientiane and I did have to show financial details, so I don't think there is any land crossing now that you can get a 2nd tourist visa without a bank acct without 20,000 baht that has been in bank for 30 days
Hello TVA! I am french citizen and i have been living in Thailand on a couple of 30 day tourist stamps. I want to get a 60+30 day renewed tourist visa. Where is the easiest place to do this? Is there any way to dodge the outbound tickets and bank statements ?
