Regarding “proof of income” for so-called retirement visas (12 months extension of stay permit); can Immigration be satisfied with a only a bank certificate and that bank book (thai bank) showing international deposits of at least 65k baht (or the equivalent in another currency) regularly? If so, how many months must the deposit have taken place?

TLDR : Answer Summary
To satisfy the immigration requirements for a 12-month retirement visa extension in Thailand, a bank certificate and a Thai bank book showing deposits of at least 65,000 baht (or the equivalent) is often acceptable. However, there are nuances depending on nationality; for Swedish citizens, an income affidavit from the Embassy may be necessary, potentially overriding the need for proof of regular international deposits.

Do I understand correctly that IF the embassy provides income affidavit, showing monthly international transfer of the required amount is not enough? The affidavit is mandatory in that case ?
IF you are holding a passport from Sweden, have you asked your Swedish Embassy in Bangkok IF they will provide you with an Affidavit of Income to show PROOF that you meet the Income requirements for the one year extension of stay as retired ?
