This question might have been approached before but I cant find anything on it.
I'm from UK and need to prove income for my marriage visa but the embassy will no longer do this. Is there any paperwork i can get from my bank that will be accepted as proof of income rather than the 400,000 baht in savings requirenment?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A UK expat is seeking advice on how to prove income for a marriage visa in Thailand, especially since the embassy no longer provides this documentation. Various community members suggest alternatives such as obtaining bank statements, using pension documentation, and highlighting differing requirements for the non-O visa based on marriage. Some indicate the necessity of showing 400,000 baht in savings while others mention the option of depositing 40,000 baht monthly into a Thai bank account.

In order to extend your marriage visa inside Thailand using the bt40,000+ a month method, the money must come from overseas directly into your Thai bank account in your name only. You can not make ATM withdrawals then show the receipts, or deposit the money into your account in Thailand. When you are doing this, your bank has a record of all deposits, where they came from, and for how much. They will give you a copy of these monthly deposits for immigration.
this is incorrect Information! I have just done it. It doesn't matter where the money comes from as long as you have 400k in your account for 3 months without withdrawals alll is OK but it does have to be in a thai account it doesn't matter where the money is from as long as its in a thai account you do not have to do it gradually I had my wedding in February diposited all the 400k in at once and there was no problem as I had it for 3 months
If you apply for a non imm O based on marriage outside Thailand you do not have to have the B 400k in a Thai account. Contact your nearest Thai embassy for their requirements.
yes as far as I know you will get a non 0 single entry but not a multi entry marriage visa, that visa you must apply once you get into Thailand then you must show the 3 month bank statement showing 400k or can use some agencies that can do it for you where you do not need any bank statement but that cost is 30.000 up
what I meant was INSIDE the country you can't just show your bank statements from your country to get a visa or an extension. You need to bank the money in a thai bank account in your name only for the required time..
