Has any body got an answer or work around to the need to have an embassy letter for proof of income from gov pension, when the embassy has stopped issuing them. I want to use combination method of banked money and 12 months of pension of 40k+฿ so as to free up some of my 800k฿. The KK immigration still require this. Would a letter from Services Australia who oversee Centrelink, who pay the Government old age pension into my bank, be acceptable? TIA

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on how to provide proof of income for their Thai visa application after the embassy stopped issuing letters confirming income from government pensions. They want to use a combination method of banked money and pension income but face issues with immigration requirements that still demand an embassy letter. A commenter indicates that there are no alternatives available and suggests switching to an all-monthly income method instead.

AFAIK there is no work around 😕 your embassy here either issues the affidavit of income from abroad or (in the case of Aussies, Brits and 'Mercans) they don't

Your immigration office knows full well you can't get one and that's the way they can say they accept the combination method while not really allowing you to do it 😛

There are a few offices that have that unreasonable requirement if you're using the combination method.

your only option is to switch to ALL monthly income and transfer in 65Kbaht a month for 12 months before you apply for your next extension WHILE keeping the seasoning requirements for the extension you're on (800K baht in the bank 3 months after you get the extension and then never letting the balance fall below 400K baht the rest of the year)

I can get the affidavid from my embassy and talked with KK immigration about combined method. Their answer was: "it's handeled case by case". 😄 When I continued saying, that it should simply be yes or no, they stopped replying.

thanks Tod, just as I thought, immi has not progressed into the real world with them knowing that and using as easy way out to deny extension using the combined method
