90 day reporting

1. Does it matter which immigration office (softpower)?

2. TM30 never filed, Problem?

I have the softpower Visa, do I have to go to the immigration office near my muay thai gym (Phuket) or can I also go to (Koh Samui)? I mean do they check if you actually train there?

Also I have been living with my girlfriend, that owns a house and she has not filed a TM30 in 3 months, is it a problem? Or just stay at a hotel for one night and get a TM30 from there, no questions asked?

How strict are they at the immigration offices about softpower DTVs there?

Thanks!

Certificate of Residence

I’m on business owner / freelancer DTV

I want to get the certificate in order to register bike on my name.

Today I went to an immigration office in Koh Phangan with:

- TM30

- Passport copy

- DTV copy

- 4x6 photos

But I’ve got an answer that I need to provide my bank statements and proof of funds again. Even though DTV started couple of weeks ago.

Perhaps I should try Koh samui? I’ve seen posts in this group saying they got it with what I’ve already brought.

These guys at KP has always been angry about everything. Extremely unpleasant to go there.

Hello, Does anyone know how early Koh Samui Immigration will let you make an appointment for a retirement visa extension? My current extension is nearing expiry. Thank you.

Will soon submit my request for extension of stay with one year this week, based on the appointment with the IO in Koh Samui (Non-O Retirement). With regards the usual bank paperwork for the thb 800k (held over past 12 months) , has anything changed this year?

I ask so because I just saw a YouTube video stating several retired people were rejected in their extension request by their IO because they reportedly could not prove the 800k originated from sources abroad, whilst this same money was already in their bank for last few years, and during last year extension this was not an issue.

Note 1: the example stated the person had taken some funds over past year and replenished this later to the required 800k, from local sources he held in Thailand.

Note 2: the checklist I received from IO last week does not indicate any different requirements, except I had to agree that they have the right to investigate my data and documents provided.

--> Please your advice on this matter of the 800k (which I have held in my SCB account for 2+ years, and have never taken any of it.

Much thanks.

Sharing my experience with my first 90-Day Report at Koh Samui Immigration! It was super quick—took only 15 minutes (though it might depend on the day). I just submitted my original passport, TM30, and a printed copy of my DTV E-Visa. After that, they told me to head upstairs, waited about 5-7 minutes, and it was all done! Smooth process, no hassle. Hope this helps anyone preparing for theirs! 🙏

Anyone have recent experience with obtaining a residency certificate at Suratthani Immigration? Is it same day or next day? I'm on Phangan where they only give 1 at a time and I need 2 for 2 different reasons.

Hi,

I’m on a DTV and will need to do my first 90 days report. I know I need to attend in person and will go to koh samui immigration.

I understand now that I need a TM.6 arrival/departure card. I didn’t pick one up on arrival and wasn’t asked for one at customs.

I believe I may be able to ask for one at immigration.

Can anyone offer advice please, I want to avoid issues at immigration.

Thank you

Edit: I can now see on the internet and answers that a TM6 no longer a requirement. Thank you

I am 71 years old and on ME OA (R) Visa issued in South Africa. Valid until 27 Feb 2025. I need to do first one year extension in Feb 2025. I want to use the Income method but my problem is that I only managed to open Bank Account in April.

(We arrived in March) I do have proof of arriving with Forex in excess of Baht 100 k cash for March but will only have bank statements for 11 months to prove 65k income. Will immigration accept the cash forex as income for March to meet the 12 month requirement?

If it is an option could I use a combination Income plus 400k bank

balance ?

We are in Lamai Koh Samui

Thanks folks.
