Hello. I am Japanese and entered the country on a tourist visa. I have a Thai wife. I prepared all the documents and applied for my first O visa (Thai wife) at the immigration office on Koh Samui on July 26th. They said they would send my documents to the head office in Hat Yai. My tourist visa expires on August 13th, but the immigration office told me that my O visa would arrive before then. On July 27, the immigration office also conducted a home visit. However, I was told that the visa had not arrived by August 13th. When I was accepted on Koh Samui, I was told that I had a 90% chance of passing, so I had to wait. They say if you pass, you won't be overstayed. Since then, I have been calling the immigration office on Koh Samui every day on weekdays to confirm whether my visa has arrived, but I have been told that it has not yet arrived. There are no stamps on my passport, only the writing in pen. Is it normal to have to wait this long? Or if I fail, am I overstaying? I'm in big trouble.
1301 is my reception number.
I also have a receipt for the payment of ΰΈΏ2000.
