Here is a good question/situation. I am over 50, my future wife is under 50. How can "we" qualify for an O or any other retirement visa? Let's say we can each put $800K in an account. I know I can qualify but shes not 40, never mind 50 yet.

Hi, I am going to start a new job in November and will be moving from Germany to Bangkok. Now the company is taking care of my visa and work permit, but they say in order to get a visa (Non-O I believe) for my German partner we would need to be married. Is that true? Can my partner not get a visa as a dependant on me?

Does anyone knows a hospital in Bangkok for physical examination/pregnancy test as a requirement before getting married in Thailand? (my divorced is less than a year)

Which hospital? When is the best time to visit and how long to get the result/certificate? How much it cost?

Please advice as I can't find answer. Planning to come by mid March.

Thank you.

Hi everyone, I went for my 1st Non O Visa (married the Thai) yesterday in Savannakhet. First of all could not believe how empty the consulate was on a Wednesday compared to all the Thursdays I’ve going to, only about 30 there and no long que. I submitted my documents paid the 5000Bth. Everything went through faultless and picked my visa up a few hours ago. But one bloke who was staying at the hotel as us was refused because because he did not have a letter confirming his wife has changed to her married name. I did not get asked that question or was required to show proof. The only extra document I provided was a signed copy of her new passport in her married name. Thanks Tod and team the info on this site is fantastic. One negative about yesterday, I was number 1 in the que, but some tour operator pushed in front of me as the window opened and made sure her 5 Japanese clients were served first, it left a bad taste in many of us who had been there and hour or more waiting.

I was hopping some one can help me with this.

I have just had a baby daughter half Thai half English, and unfortunately I have just lost my job in Thailand, my 3 month visa will expire on the 25/11.

We are not married yet and have to do this in the uk first.

Does anyone have any advise they can give me on how to stay with my daughter and girlfriend it's unlikely I will find a new job and visa in 3 weeks.
