If I wanted to spend 6 months a year in USA and 6 months in Thailand, what are my visa options?

Regarding health insurance requirement for a retirement visa. Can I use my Medicare (USA) and supplement insurance.

I understand the insurance is not allowed to be used in Thailand but I could return if needed.

Secondly, can I self insure? If so how much do I need show?

Husband is 51, planning on coming to Thailand next month. Wondering pros and cons of applying for Retirement Visa before we leave or when we arrive? I will be applying as a dependent spouse and we have an 11 year old as a dependent visa to my husband’s retirement visa. Just starting to travel and planning on hitting most of Asia over the next few years with Thailand as “home base”. Thoughts?

Everything is slowly falling into place. I plan to book a hotel for the first few weeks and then look for a suitable condo. Last time, I stayed at Kian Haad, near Market Village. I think there are better options. So any hotel advice would be welcome.

However, I still have a few questions.

*Is this address acceptable for returning the embassy affidavit?

*Is a hotel's TM30 sufficient for applying for a bank account and renewing my Non-O?

Just a quick one. The people who had their bank accounts frozen, did you all use an agent to open it or have any of you opened an account without the agent & still been frozen

Transferring visa to new passport.

Im on a 12month ext of stay based on my retirement visa. Is it just the current 12 month extension of stay visa that needs to be transferred, or the Non Immigrant O and all the previous ext of stays?

Good morning from Scotland uk. I'm married to a wonderful Thai lady and have been since 1990. I have a Thai bank account with the Bangkok Bank. As there is NO Thai embassy in Scotland only a consulate , so if you require a visa of any kind you must go through the Thai Embassy in London. I'm now 70 years of age and my wife is 65 .
