Question, i know i need a bank account, a Thai phone number and a health insurence for my retirement visa. But i don't know if it has to be a health insurence in Thailand or in my country the Netherlands. Thank you.
Answer summary
The question discusses the requirements for obtaining a retirement visa in Thailand, specifically regarding health insurance. The comments clarify that the 90-day Non-O visa does not require health insurance, while the Non-OA visa does. If choosing a Thai insurance provider, one can refer to a list of accredited companies provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The conversation highlights that both local and international insurances can be considered, but specific stipulations may apply.

People should always have insurance however there are differences in the retirement visa. Non-O no insurance requirement, Non-OA insurance required and if choosing a Thai insurance provider I believe the MFA provide a list of accredited companies. For international insurance policies there are specific stipulation. I don't know what they are but the evisa website will provide info.
