Is it still possible for German citizens to obtain a 365-day extension of stay on a Non-O retirement visa in Thailand using an income statement from the German Embassy?

As a German citizen, I have previously been able to obtain a 365-day extension of stay (refer to a Non-O retirement visa) each year by providing a document—specifically a statement of income—that has been translated and certified by the German Embassy (or a German consulate) as an affidavit. I am aware that this practice has been discontinued by the governments of several other countries. Before I enter Thailand on my new Non-O retirement visa (valid for 90 days), I would like to know whether this is still possible.
Answer summary
A German citizen inquiring about the possibility of obtaining a 365-day extension of stay on a Non-O retirement visa in Thailand can still get an income certificate from the German Embassy in Bangkok, provided they can prove sufficient net income. However, some immigration offices may not accept it, so local inquiries are advised. Additionally, it has been noted that proof of a Thai bank account with regular transfers from abroad may also be required. This reflects a possible shift in immigration requirements to ensure financial stability in Thailand.

The German Embassy in Bangkok and the 4 honorary consuls are still certifying your income or pension. What is new is, that some Immigrations will ask you to show that you have a Thai bank account, and that there are regular transfers coming into it from abroad. The transfers don't necessarily have to be a minimum of 65,000 THB, but they must show that you use money coming in from abroad to pay for your living expenses inside Thailand. So, you can expect that your Immigration wants to see your bankbook

Germans can still do this, but some Immigration offices may not accept it so you should enquire locally.

I think it highly likely that the entire procedure will be scrapped for all countries before long as it does not benefit the Thai economy in the way that a monthly transfer or fixed deposit is supposed to.

The German embassy in bangkok still issues income certificates provided you can prove you have sufficient net income to meet the criteria
