I’m pplanning a trip to Thailand from the uk. However I want to stay until my money runs out. I aiming between 3 and 4 months. I understand I need a 60 day visa then extend for 30 days. But can I do this with booking a 1 way flight. Then when I have run out of money. I can book a flight back to the uk.
I'm planning a trip to Thailand for 3 months – 60 days on a tourist visa + 30 days extension. I would like to know if I need to have a return ticket within those first 60 days (and then change it after arriving in Thailand), or if it would be okay to immediately buy the ticket for the final flight (87 days after arriving)?
Thank Group for all the great info here. My First Question: I am waiting for final approval of my LTR Visa. Am I going to be ok with a one way ticket from US to Thailand? The airlines have checked for a round trip ticket at the beginning of my last two Thailand visits.
My wife and I have one way tickets to Bangkok from the UK next week we will be entering Thailand under a 30 day visa exemption, we will be travelling north through Thailand to the Laos border, not sure how long we will take to get there - Around 10 days I guess but it is flexible.
We will be travelling light and haven't booked onward travel, we intend to take the slow boat when we get into Laos from Huay Xai onwards.
There is no option to buy a ticket for the public boat online which would prove onward travel, does this pose a risk for boarding the flight with Thai Airways? If so, any advice on workarounds?
Before posting I have read various posts and will phone the Thai Airways next week to enquire further.
I am looking at onwardflights.com as a backup if that is actually required.
Will airlines let you board a flight from Australia with an outward ticket in 59 days? We will be extending our 30 day visa exemption whilst in Thailand
