Can anyone advise what value of insurance which is currently required to extend OA visa from within Thailand? ( Chiang Mai).

Does the insurance have to be from an approved Thai list or will an internationally sourced (UK) policy be accepted?

If an international policy is acceptable is their a requirement for the policy to be pre- approved by immigration or subject to any other Gov / Immigration approvals ? TIA.

I have a Non-0 visa for visiting family.

I will stay for 90 day with a 60 day extension.

I am confused regarding my insurance requirements to enter Thailand.

I have read that I only need a 30 day Covid insurance for $50,000 others have said I need that insurance for the full length of my visit.

Advice please.

A guy gets his EOS on his OA in January, having presented his 400 000/40 000 local insurance valid for the year covered by the EOS. He obtains a re-entry permit and leaves Thailand in February and returns in March. As required, he purchases $50 000 of further insurance from an overseas company to also cover the rest of the EOS validity.

My question - have I got the scenario correct?

Hi All I emailed AXA in connection with insurance to cover STV and COVID 19 and they only provided a year cover and I am looking for 180 days only (and STV can only go up to 270 days anyway). On their website they have Inbound Travel Insurance. I am not clear if this covers both STV and COVID 19 requirements. Anyone know as I am very confused

Thanks alot.
