Hi group, I have a question. Has anyone done a vias run (boarder hop) via the friendship bridge in Nong Khai. I would like to do an in and out from Laos and back to thailand.

Has anyone done the same and were there any issues with re entry. I know Immigration are not after DTV holder l, but I just want to make sure it will be no issues.

I have just finished my boarder hop and no issues on returning to thailand. The only question asked was where is the Laos stamp in my passport. Then stamped in for y months a passport handed back.

Flew to Laos Aug 23 (after 180 days in TH) and been having a beautiful time in Laos for the last month (Vang Vieng mostly, gorgeous place highly recommend for digital nomads)

We extended our Lao visa 1 more week to celebrate my husbands bday on Sep 24th and coming home a few days after that via flight Vientiane-Bangkok.

I have my DTV stamped in my passport and husband has his in his printed. Anything we should prepare or expect? 🧐@Just wondering cuz it’s the first “border hop” even tho we’ll have been in lao 5 weeks.

Also coming back to Lao again mid November when the husbands grandparents visit😄

My wife and I, both 71 are in Koh Samui on individual Non Imm ME OA VISAs from South Africa. Expiry date is 28 Feb. I have already extended our Med Insurance for another year. My question is whether We can do a border hop by air ,first buy a re-entry at airport and then get stamped back in until Med insurance expiry date. This is to circumvent the tedious bank statements/letter etc. plus all the hoops to jump before extension? Obviously one may only be allowed to do this once but may give up to a year reprieve.

Your wise input is much appreciated.

With the Australian passport does that get stamped 60 days or do I apply for the 60 day visa

For holiday. With the 60 days I can border hop one day from Nong Kai into Laos

Return to Thailand get another 60 day stamp then get 30 day extension making 150 days in total.

Can you do border hop at Nong khai and come back in Thailand and do same again 60 day with 30 day extension...Only looking at staying 5 months in Thailand...have Thai financee ..

Hi, just wondering if anyone has recently got the 60day tourist visa in Vientiane Laos.

We are planning boarder hop mid Dec, and are thinking of applying for the 60 day tourist visa, yes we do know we get 40 days but the 60 days works well with our scheduled flight home in FEB 2023.

I read on the Royal Thai Embassy Site that you need to make an appointment online, I just tried to do this but it does not appear to be working.

Any tips on the process would be greatly appreciated.

My friend want’s to come off he’s retirement visa and go on to a 45 day visa exempt (uk passport) by doing a border hop, dose he need to cancel he’s retirement visa first or is he ok just leave and get it canceled on exit ?

Hi I’m in Thailand on an O-A visa which is valid till the 17 September 2020 my flights have been cancelled but they are on an open ticket for 24 months, I need to exit and return to get my next year stamp does anyone know how I can do this ie boarder hop? I need to do a border hop to Laos to extend my tourist Visa I've already had a 30 day extension from udon immigration but I'm hearing stories that Laos aren't allowing foreigners to enter due to the covid 19 outbreak, can anyone shed any light on this ? I've looked all over the internet but I'm seeing all different things like if you have a temperature you get quarantined for 2 weeks in Vientiane so any advice would be welcome... thank you 🙏
