Border bouncing... I have been in and out many times with my DTV and never any questions about my stay or request for extra documents. Stays have always been relatively short though and weeks were spent out of the country. Current visit is going to be close to the 180 days, and then I would like to fly into KUL, stay just one night, and fly back in the following day. Any one had any issues with a next day border bounce, any scrutiny?
Answer summary
The discussion centers around the experiences of individuals performing a next-day border bounce from Thailand while holding a DTV visa. Most users report no issues during their travels, provided they maintain short stays and are prepared with necessary documentation. Some have successfully completed similar border operations without questions from immigration, while others advise being cautious and having visa application documents readily available in case of scrutiny. Overall, the consensus is that while it is generally straightforward, being prepared is essential.

I have a DVT and I would stay a week or two because people with dvts are having to prove all the requirements again at the border for these quick turn around times

Did you inherit your Karen genes from your mother, or did you practice being repulsive all on your own?

Yes I went and they said that it wasnt allowed so I had to get a place in Da Nang for a month. Be prepared to stay out of Thailand for a month.

Many DTVERS do the one day border hop or same day return with no issues. Have your DTV docs on your phone in the very unlikely chance of being asked. Some recent posts regarding interrogation upon entry are fear mongering

Why would you be asked for extra documents?

You have a Visa already

Just like anywhere in the world immigration can ask for the documents used by visa application, Thailand and DTV are no exception here.

In most countries and also in Thailand it does not happen often, but better be prepared.

Personally I would have the documrnts somewhere in the cloud where you always can reach them.

some reports of being questioned by Thai Immigration officers upon arrival. Few, but wise advice to be prepared by having with you a copy of your DTV visa application documents if asked.
