Does anyone have recent experience entering by flight into thailand with a tourist visa but with a passport filled with pages of extension stamps back from the covid stamp days? Have there been any issues entering through customs/ immigration?

I am just paranoid because I had a long history in the country on several covid extensions.

Vientiane a good option to apply for Tourist visa, if you have been here for some time and have covidextensions? I dont have a Vientiane-stamp in passport now. I think thats the most important?

I stayed in Thailand for just over 6 months from the end January to the start of August last year with a couple of COVID extensions. I arrived back in Thailand this year in January on a 60 day tourist visa and I've already extended it once.

I want to spend another 3 months in Thailand after my tourist visa expires. I'm thinking of spending a week in Kuala Lumpur to get another 60 day tourist visa I can extend. However, I think I might get denied entry for spending too much time on a tourist visa in Thailand when I return.

My other option is to do a border run and enter on a visa exempt but that will only get me two months now that the 45 day visa exempt going away. I think this is less risky though.

When I entered Thailand last time I was only asked a few questions and let in pretty easy. They mentioned I stayed in Thailand a little long last time but I said I've come to see my girlfriend, which is true, and they just said okay.

What do you guys recommend I do?

Hi everyone. In case of applying for an Elite Visa (despite everyone can have a different story here as usual) i would to hear from those who apply with a background :

Lots of tourists visa, exemptions, covid extensions, questioned lately... (My case)

Dodgy volunteer visa (Not my case but seems to be the famous case)

I would to know when your application has been rejected (if). At first step at Elite Visa Office or agent ( please specify) or after payment when you visit Immigration to collect your sticker. I heard various mixed story from money lost or given back, or application approved despite dodgy volunter visa... If anyone have experience with elite visa this year thanks to share it.

Regarding extension of the 45 day passport stamp on arrival for USA citizens:

When applying at IT Square, Lak Si for the one-time, 30 day extension of stay, is the TM30 form 100% required?

Any comments regarding this would be appreciated.

Some advice please

Situation:

I've been in Thailand since Dec 2019 on a tourist visa, an ED, a Non-B, multiple Covid extensions and now back on a Non-B which will be cancelled in April as I will leave my job. So, quite a few stamps in the passport.

Question:

Once my Non-B is canceled what is my best option for getting a Visa so that I can stay here for a while (a year would be great) longer as a tourist?

Laos border bounce experience @ Chiang Khong crossing.

As background, I have a US passport and have been in Thailand on a combination of exempt stamps (2), COVID extensions (3) and one Thai Tourism visa with a few 30 day extensions. Needless to say, my options for short term approvals are becoming very narrow.

The Chang Khong border is actually quite nice. Very quiet, and not more that 20 travelers there at the time of my crossing. Getting stamped out of course was no problem. You take a bus across the Friendship Bridge that takes about 5 minutes, but it's only running once an hour, so you can find yourself waiting for quite awhile if your timing is unlucky. 20 baht there and 25 baht back for the bus ride. I don't know why the prices are different.

The man at the Laos border was helpful(?) But I feel like he scammed me. I read online that it was $40 USD for the Laos visa, but then he told me it was $45 USD or 1900 baht ($55 USD). He refused to take my USD when I told him I had both currencies. I think he just knew that the baht was a better deal for him. Nonetheless I got the visa and got stamped in and out of Laos in 5 minutes. NO visa photos needed since I wasn't entering the country. Super easy, just more expensive than was expected.

Waited 55 minutes for the bus back to Thailand.

When I arrived back to the Thai border, I was slightly nervous about re-entry even though I had read that you get two land border bounces a year. I was surprised that they required us to fill out the old TM6 card that to my understanding is no longer used. Not a big deal though. I waited for 5 minutes. The Thai border agent was very nice and professional. He double checked where I said I was staying in Chiang Mai and made sure that the address matched the building name, to have a very quick look at my stamps and let me back in with a 45 day exempt stamp. No issues at all thankfully. Hope this helps some people. The entire process took about 90+ minutes and cost 1995 baht.

Thought I’d update my personal experience returning to Thailand today after a lengthy stay and covid stamps. (I said I would in some previous experience of others). I came January 9th 2022 visa exempt, one 30 day extension and 4 covid extension. Visited Bali for 16 days and was understandably flagged by DMK on return, but was allowed in after a small grilling and proof of outward flight. Stayed 43 more days then went back to the uk for 3 weeks. Just come through BKK and was again expectedly questioned, but not taken aside like before. After explaining why I’m back yet again (and it being my last return for many years after this), a proof of outward flight and hotel (which was actually the $10 onward flight ticket) and many shaky hands as I’m not good with these things, she stamped me in with a smile. Mostly I think she must have thought I was just batshit and felt bad for me for even attempting to come all that way again so soon 🤣 I know I’m extremely lucky and it’s often not the case, but just so people are aware it is possible, even at Bangkok airport! hoping that one day I can return again with some kind of real long term visa 🙏

I am an Australian and I have been in Thailand for 10 months. I have a few Covid extension stamps in my passport and I had some trouble when I attempted my last border run. I ended up travelling to Savannakhet to get a 60 day tourist visa.

I’m heading to India and Nepal early next month but then I’m going back home. My flight from India gets into Suvarnabhumi early on the 23rd Feb, and my flight home to Melbourne leaves later that evening (on a different airline).

I was going to leave some luggage in storage at Suvarnnabhumi so that I don’t have to lug it around India with me. However, that would mean I must go through immigration to pick it up for the return journey home.

To avoid all the questions and potential trouble at immigration associated with the length of time I’ve been in Thailand etc, should I just get a transit visa beforehand? Is it true that I can get a transit visa online? Some web pages say that I have to go to a consulate (in my case it will be Kathmandu) but I also noticed the ‘Thai e-visa official website’ and am wondering if this is legit.

If this is all too much trouble I’m considering travelling light, only taking hand luggage to India/Nepal so that I can avoid immigration at Suvarnnabhumi altogether.

Any help would be appreciated.
