Do I lose days if I apply for an immigration extension before my current visa stamp expires in Thailand?

Hi all,

Been over two years since I left.

Originally entered on a TR visa (1/1/2020)

with a UK passport.

Stayed on covid extensions (until they stopped issuing them).

I remember on covid extensions you would loose days if you applied earlier than your expiry date on the extension stamp.

I cannot remember if that’s the case for ordinary extensions at immigration?

(60 days on arrival, TR visas etc).

Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster inquires about whether they lose days when applying for ordinary extensions at Thai immigration, similar to the policy during the COVID-19 extensions. A commenter clarifies that for 30-day extensions on both visa-exempt entries and tourist visas, the extension is added to the expiry date of the current stamp.

The 30 day extensions on either a 60 day free stamp (visa exempt) entry or a 60 day tourist visa entry are ADDED to the date your current stamp expires.
