Some advice please

Situation:

I've been in Thailand since Dec 2019 on a tourist visa, an ED, a Non-B, multiple Covid extensions and now back on a Non-B which will be cancelled in April as I will leave my job. So, quite a few stamps in the passport.

Question:

Once my Non-B is canceled what is my best option for getting a Visa so that I can stay here for a while (a year would be great) longer as a tourist?

Thanks a bunch

Thomas

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about the best options for obtaining a long-term visa in Thailand after their Non-B visa is canceled. They have been living in Thailand since December 2019 with various visa types, including tourist and educational visas, and are seeking advice for a possible extension or a new visa type to remain in Thailand for about a year as a tourist. The comments include suggestions such as applying for a ME Tourist Visa from their home country and advice on strategic border bounces.

Go back to your home country and apply for a ME Tourist Visa. You'll get about nine months out of that with a couple of strategic border bounces

Is there anything I can do in more local countries/embassies?

@Thomas *******
No... The METV multiple entry tourist visa is Only available in your home country. Not ๐Ÿšซ offered in SE Asia

Wedding ๐Ÿ””๐Ÿ”” Bells would solve your wish to Stay in Thailand...

BORDER BOUNCE.. 2 per calendar year are possible...

AND a Thai tourist visa from either VIENTIANE or SAVANNAKHET Laos a possibility.

Suggest you explore your options.

And ask for advice from an experienced border/ visa run service company in the area where you live.

Good Luck ๐Ÿคž

ok understood, thanks. Is it possible to get a more short term visa in SE Asia? (I'd like to avoid a trip back to the UK at the moment, if possible)

read my reply... Use an experienced border/ visa run service company... Don't do it yourself... Do NOT fly into Thailand.
