Hi, I want to apply for DTV remote work with small income as a freelancer. I am German. As far as my travel plans go, applying in KL  would be by far the easiest, but I am afraid that they are stricter and that it could be harder to get it than, lets say, in Vientianne. Would love to hear your thoughts and experiences on that.

if you have everything in order, there is no keed for an agent. The only thing an agent can do is doublecheck your paperwork, or if they are shady help you manipulate the process.
