I currently work in IT support while trying to get clients for my web development business.
I'm wondering what kind of jobs you are doing that are happy with working remotely in Thailand.
Answer summary
Remote workers in Thailand are involved in various jobs including IT support, web development, sales, design, marketing, writing, teaching, and music production. Many start with support roles or freelance platforms and later cultivate their own clientele. Popular locations such as Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and Phuket offer co-working spaces that foster networking among professionals. It's important for remote workers to have the appropriate visa, such as a DTV, LTR, or business visa, rather than a tourist visa, to lawfully work while living in Thailand.

Many people here work remote in IT, web dev, design, marketing, writing and teaching online. Like you, a lot start with support or freelance sites then grow own clients. Coworking spaces in Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Phuket are full of devs and creators, easy to meet and share jobs.
For stay long you need right visa, many use DTV or LTR or business visa, not tourist visa if you work. Internet is fast in cities and islands, SIM with unlimited data is cheap, cost of living low so you can build business while here. Just keep work for foreign clients and pay tax as per rules.
You could consider reading a book or two before your trip. I’d recommend Unlock Thailand by Isla Rey on Amazon, it includes all the info and insights you need. You should check it out. A very good companion 👌.
