Can I, as an Australian resident living here now, who has satisfied the Work Life rule, and lived here most my life, apply for the pension and move to Thailand, immediately, without the 2 year portability rule applying to me?
I understand the 2 year rule applies only to former residents?
I currently have a 1 year marriage visa based on having 400000 baht in the bank. This is due to expire in July. My question is I would like to extend based on having the 40000 baht monthly income. Is it enough to show this income by presenting an income statement from Australia Centrelink rather than Embassy. Some forms seem to indicate this is ok. I believe I am to late to show this income in my Thai bank account. Does anyone have first hand knowledge.
Just an Australian expat question, the Centrelink will pay my pension directly into my Bangkok bank account, do they(Centrelink) get good exchange rates or should I just transfer it myself through a private transfer system, Cheers for any answers.
