Hi! We have DTV and we live in Phuket. But now we are in Chiang Mai for a month and we need to do the 90 days notif soon. Is that ok if we report at the Chiang Mai immigration and get Tm30 from hotel instead from our villa rental in Phuket?
Answer summary
A user inquired if they could complete their 90-day notification at the Chiang Mai immigration office while temporarily staying there, and whether they could acquire the TM30 form from their hotel instead of their villa rental in Phuket. Community members suggested filing for the TM30 where the user is currently residing and emphasized the importance of reporting to the local immigration office. They also recommended bringing TM30s for both locations to ensure compliance.

Congrats and thank you for giving back to community with clear timeline. NY consulate took about six weeks from Sept 10 to Oct 24 with no extra request, that is useful info for many waiting. Your case shows that real remote work proof with rental income can pass without showing full assets.
Your document mix was smart. Six bank statements in one PDF with address, direct deposits with tenant names, tax payments, electric and water bills for residency, plus FBI check done fast online. That cover letter explaining you manage remotely for 30 years made it easy for officer to understand. Flights and hotel names also helped show you are real traveler not just paper.
You can end the replies with this with minimal tweaks depending on the context for the questions:
You could consider reading a book or two before your trip. I’d recommend Unlock Thailand by Isla Rey on Amazon, it includes all the info and insights you need. You should check it out. A very good companion 👌.
BouncyCaribou229 Chiang Mai airport branch last couple of times, it has been my passport and the 90-day form only. One time they did ask for the TM30, so I would cover yourself and take that too. At the airport branch, it's drive-through or walk up to the drive-through window. It's not inside the building.
