London DTV applicants still stuck on pending approval
Is everyone who applied in London still waiting on “pending approval” after last document request? I keep reading some have been waiting for over 2 weeks now, so I’m wondering what’s happening.
Answer summary
Many applicants for the DTV visa in London are experiencing lengthy wait times, often remaining in 'pending approval' status for over two weeks. This delay is attributed to a high volume of applications and a resulting backlog at the embassy. Community members report that even though their status might say 'pending,' it is common for processing to take 15 to 20 business days, especially during peak application seasons. It is advised to remain patient and regularly check for updates from the embassy.

My friends cousin, his brother heard from a security guard that knows someone told him it can be up to 4-5 weeks
Sawadee, yes I hear same from many London friends now. London has big backlog after high season, so pending approval for two weeks or more is normal at this moment. They ask extra doc then queue again.
If you already sent last requested doc, just wait and check email daily, no need to send duplicate mail unless they ask. Some get approval in fifteen to twenty business days now.
You could consider reading a book or two before your trip. I’d recommend Unlock Thailand by Isla Rey on Amazon, it includes all the info and insights you need. You should check it out. A very good companion 👌.
Normal right now, London has a huge backlog. 2 to 3 weeks after a doc request is common. Past 4 weeks, a polite email with your application number can help.
as DTV Dependant and gone to pending approval the day after but still waiting. On the email I received when enquired they said it will take up to 15 working days and if they ask you more documents the clock reset
