Hello all, Is it possible to deposit the 800,000 baht requested for the retirement visa into a foreign currency account (US $) or ın an interest-bearing baht account? I might have missed ıf this detail has already been talked over. It is necessary to protect the inflation value of the money. Thank you for your answers in advance. 🙏
Hi guys 🙂, I am a British citizen and would like to transfer a large sum of money into a Thai bank account from a UK bank, before I go to the bank and ask direct I was just curious if any body has any information in regards to transfer fees typically in Thailand ? Do Thai banks charge a “landing fee” or is it a percentage based on how much your transferring..? Any positive advise would be much appreciated.

We would be applying for a Retirement visa with the requirement to have 800000 bhat in the account each year and keep the account no lower than 400000 bhat. So my question is...does the money have to be held in a bhat account or can we hold it in a sterling account?
