Hi. If I apply for a non-immigrant OA from my own country does the 800k need to be in a Thai bank account or can I just prove funds equal to that amount in bank accounts in my own country?

Hi everyone! I'm currently holding a non-immigrant OA visa. I applied and was granted the visa in my home country via the Thai Consulate. Every time I fly into Thailand, I get a 1 year stamp on my passport.

My question is: if I were to visit another country, eg. Vietnam/Cambodia or for that matter any country, whether by air, sea or land, am I able to re-enter Thailand without any issues? Or am I only allowed to enter Thailand from my home country all the time? Sorry if it sounds like a silly question because I just entered Thailand via the land border and was thinking of going to Cambodia for a short trip before returning to Bangkok.

Thank you.

Hi I have a question about the Non-immigrant OA Visa (from my country). If I submit application whist still working (full-time) and declare full time salary on form, then retire a month or 2 later then travel to thailand does this affect visa during the 1 year period. My transfer to superannuation income from full time income will still be well above the 65,000BHT minimum. I will then transfer to retirement visa at end of 1 year period.

This is the requirement list for non imm O and OA extensions on Koh Samui, and now, also Phangan.

The requirement for a house number photo (Item 12.) is new to me, but no problem.

Item 13. I dont recollect seeing before and dont recognise the numeric 654/2564

Anyone know?

🙏

A big thanks to Thai Visa Advice. Thanks to searching this excellent group, I was successful in getting a non-immigrant OA multi-entry visa, while in the US. I have now been living in Thailand for over a month.

It's my first time in Thailand, and I am looking forward to my first 90 day reporting attempt. I am living in Jomtien and will try to do it online initially. And if that fails, I will walk to the immigration office nearby and do it in person.

I also plan on purchasing an additional year of health insurance next year and visiting a nearby country and returning in order to get an additional almost year stamped on my current non-OA visa.

I have a question regarding eventually applying for an extesion on my non-OA visa. I did not require a Thai bank account when I got the non-OA. My American online bank statement and bank letter was sufficient to get the non-OA visa. However, if I want to eventually apply for an extension, do I have to get an actual Thai bank account and move the 800k baht minimum into Thailand? Or can I continue to use my American bank to meet the minimum money requirement?

I presume it is possible to change from an non immigrant OA visa to a non O visa once the OA visa expires? Would I need to leave the country then do the all process required for O visa ?

I have not seen any negative comments/feedback about the new (since Sept 2022) Thailand Board of Investments managed 10-year LTR visa for pensioners; even the initial cost of thb 50,000 is not so bad over a period of 10 years. I wonder if it is as good and flexible as it sounds? And if it is possible to apply for it while on a valid non imm OA visa?

Hi everyone, I'm in the midst of applying for a non-immigrant OA visa in my home country. One of the requirements is a medical certificate stating that I have to be free from the following illnesses:

1. Leprosy

2. Tuberculosis (TB)

3. Elephantiasis

4. Drug addiction &

5. Third step of syphilis

My question is has anyone had the experience of undergoing all the tests mentioned above? Not sure how to test for leprosy. TB can be by x-ray or PCR test. The other 3 should be by blood test. Can I get my family doctor to fill out the attached form and have him certify I'm free from all the above? When I submit my application, will they want to see the x-ray and blood test results or will they just accept the doctor's certification to be good? Thanks in advance for any helpful replies.
