Hi, this is not explicitely a visa question, but without a bankaccount no extension of stay right? Here my question: After opening the account for the deposit fund of 800'000 baht, do the banks accept the sum in cash? (baht or foreign currency) or do they only accept transfer from my home bank? There are many different infos about this issue. Thanks for your appreciated help.

Thanks for the private answer. For my initial non-O retirement visa I have to show my home bank account for the last 3 months before applying with the 800'000 baht in foreign currency. As soon as I enter Thailand with this visa I have to open a thai bank account, which I still do not have yet.

Hi,

I want to change my visa to non-retirement in Chiang Mai.

I am reading that the Immigration Office has different requests.

When should I deposit 800.000 baht in the bank to apply for non-retirement visa at Chiang Mai immigration office.

Should the money be in the account on the application date or two months ago?

We are applying for a non O-A retirement visa for my Husband from our home Country of New Zealand based on monthly income of at least 65000 baht. Can you confirm that if we are granted this Visa then the requirement continues to be 65000 baht transferred from overseas to a Thai bank account every month, and there is no need for 800000 baht deposit? Thank you for your help.

How many days(how long) before you apply for the retirement visa that you have to deposit 800,000 baht in a Thai owned bank.

Thank you in advance. 🙏
