TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, it is generally possible to open both a foreign currency account (for GBP) and a Thai baht account at the same bank in Thailand. Many banks, such as Bangkok Bank, Krungsri Bank, and Kasikornbank, offer Foreign Currency Deposit (FCD) accounts alongside Thai baht accounts. Requirements for opening these accounts vary by bank and branch, but typically, a valid passport and proof of a 90-day non-immigrant visa will be needed. It's advisable to check with specific banks for their policies regarding foreigners and account options.

Krungsri Bank was very easy. I don't know about now though. I opened a Sterling FCD account with just my passport. Note that you have to fund the initial deposit with actual pound notes.

It's always possible, but it's up to the individual branch how they handle things. I opened mine at SCB within 1 hour but I had previously a savings and fixed deposit account already which both needed approval by HQ (a few days wait).
I wouldn't park much money on a FC account here, interests are laughable.
