For a Non-O retirement visa renewal, we are required to submit a bank passbook that has been updated on the day of the application.

Am I correct in understanding that this means we cannot place the THB 800,000 in a fixed deposit account, since it would not be possible to make, for example, a small deposit into that account and update the passbook on the day of the application?

My problem is I have fixed deposit and saving under same statement.

Combination of two amounts could meet minimum requirement for DTV application.

Will they combine these two amounts or I shall withdraw my fixed deposits to saving ? 🥲

Hi, just looking for a quick confirmation prior to switching funds (extension to stay based on marriage). When I come to renew the aforementioned visa next year, is it ok to have the required funds in a fixed deposit account? (The type of account you can immediately withdraw from but lose your interest if you do) I remember reading here that this was ok.. but not ok if it’s an account where you cannot withdraw. TIA
