Re-entry Permit

Heading out of Thailand for a week. I have just read that there is a slight change in the process at the airport. Previously, went through immigration, then was directed to the re-entry desk. The information I just read was that you need to do the re-entry before going through immigration. Apparently, they have tightened up on this in the last couple of months. It was suggested that if you do immigration first, it is too late ( officially, you have already left Thailand, according to the argument). Interested in anyone's experience of late.

I acquired a single re-entry permit when I got my recent one-year extension of non-o visa.

I head for Suvarnabhumi in the morning - When I go through passport control, do I need to do anything or make sure they see the permit stamp in my passport?

I did a single re-entry permit once before, but that was done on-site at the airport, and they gave me a receipt that I presented at passport control going out. I'm just not certain about having the stamp already in the passport and it being accepted when I return in a few weeks. Thanks

I am about to apply to renew my visa extension based on retirement,Ihave a unused single re-entry permit ,which I bought when I extended last year.

Does this expire with the current extension or is it valid until used?

Hey folks

For the non-O visa single entry type, can you do the single re-entry permit at the local immigration office a few days before flying out, or is that only possible at the departure airport?

Thanks

Dear all,

I would like to ask about the re-entry permit application. Would it be possible to apply for 2 single re-entry permits at the same time? Or does immigration issue only one single re-entry permit per time?

I arrived in Bangkok with a Non OA based on retirement (US) with a visa issue date of March 20th 2024 and visa expiration date is March 19th 2025. I have a single re-entry permit with a valid date until March 14th 2025

If I leave Thailand on March 3rd and return on March 10th from Vietnam by air, what date would my new stamp be good for? I have read somewhere that if I have a health insurance plan good for another year I will receive another year of validity on the same Non OA visa in Thailand.

Furthermore I read that I would NOT need to have 800,000 Baht in my Thai bank account.

Could you please confirm my thoughts that I can leave, return and get another year stay as long as I have health insurance.

Many thanks.

Need help on one. Got my passport back from the agent yesterday. I need to leave next week to the United States for two weeks. Do I need to get a re entry visa or do I have one already. I have no problem paying for one. But if I already have it that would be great. Thanks

I believe a Multiple reentry permit is 3,800 baht and Single is 1,000 baht. Are the prices the same at immigration and Suva airport?

Can you get multiple single reentry permits if you are only going abroad twice so the total cost is only 2000 baht rather than 3,800?

I have a non B 90 day single entry visa for teaching and a British passport. I need to leave Thailand and re enter twice in April. I know I need to apply for a re-entry permit and that it costs 1200 baht at Suvarnabumi airport. My question is

... is it possible to apply for a single re-entry, and then another single re-entry? Or do I have to pay for multiple re-entry?

The reason I ask is it would be cheaper to do two single re-entries since I only need to do it twice.

Thanks in advance (and thanks for all the advice re non b visa in Hanoi last time I posted- it all went very smoothly!)

Hello. Can someone else apply for a single re-entry permit? I work fulltime and was wondering if my partner could go on my behalf. TIA
