Hello. My husband and I are currently on the LTR (long term residency) visa. We received an email from what we thought was the LTR Visa Unit, stating that they are conducting post monitoring procedures to ensure that we have maintained our qualifications, and that we need to submit our documents. It seemed very legit. Until we found out it was not. Shortly after submitting our documents we received an email from the actual LTR folks warning us of scammers using fake LTR accounts. Unfortunately, the email address ended in '.com' instead of 'go.th.' We have already contacted the LTR unit. They said they will speak to their legal team but I don't know what they can do. We have done as much as we can to protect ourselves, i.e. froze all credit reports, added extra security to our financial accounts, etc. What else can be done?? Any advice would be appreciated.

Hello guys, I my visa extension expires on October 1. I was told by a visa agency that they can do a covid extension for me of 2 months for 12000 baht. It didn't make sense to me... Does that mean that covid extension visa aren't over yet or that they can be done only through an agency or do you think that it is officially over and maybe I was talking to someone that had plans of scamming me.. ?

First time posting here. Thank you guys

I am so frustrated. Applied for 34 day tourist visa online. Paid. Got email 5 days ago requesting 6 months of bank statements and letter from employer confirming employment. Got all that together (in between working 16 hour days), go to the site and my application is gone! So now I have to pay again?

Hi everyone, I have a question about applying for a ED visa in these times. I understand from immigration that it is NOT possible to switch from amnesty to ED. I asked the immigration office in Chiang Rai and called the hotline. They say the same thing, not possible.

BUT when I contact schools (both language and muay thai) then they say that they can get the ED visa inside the country without any problem but they say the cost of it is much higher (20 000 just for immigration fee, one of them actually called it a tip for immigration). Three different schools say the same thing. These schools are all located in Chiang Mai.

So what is this? Are they running a collective scam or can they really switch my visa? Perhaps the rules in Chiang Mai are different??

It would be really awesome if someone that did this already (on amnesty!) could reply and let me know if it is really possible.

Thank you in advance and I wish everyone a great weekend!

So pondering options to do long term visa.

The one most recommended is Volunteer Visa.

It sounds like this is the new back-door.

Anybody familiar with the process? Anybody know anybody who has done this?

I’ve just received this message from a visa agent who is constantly spamming me.

Has anyone heard of this visa and is it real?

It’s not very easy to see just what they are getting at.

‘Hallo, we keep it short, if you use the amnesty and not plan to depart Thailand before 31st July we suggest that you get a medical extension for either 30days=thb6500, 60days=thb12000 or 90days=thb18000 within 25th July. Than we can do a conversion inside Thailand for Non O 3month=thb20000. Further extension possible. Honestly we not expect that border run will start on 1st August. Thank you
