I applied online a month ago and still no response. I assume this is because of the high season and processing takes longer. Has anyone experienced similar waiting times?

Hi Everyone. I've lived/worked in Thailand for 17 years, so would be happy to offer insights on various matters.

I've got an evisa question if anyone confidently knows the rules. I applied for an O-A evisa with multiple entry about 5 weeks ago but they continue to drag their feet on processing it. In the meantime, I have a flight booked for Thursday that would be costly to rebook. I also have some need to be in country by the weekend. I am wondering whether I should keep my flight and enter on a 30 day visa exemption and try to get the O-A visa put into my passport at Chaeng Wattana once the email with the approved evisa shows up. Any thoughts on how likely I could accomplish this? Of course the alternative would be to fly out and back in once the evisa is available, but frankly I would like to avoid that... Any thoughts?

Has anyone had any luck getting in touch with the Royal Thai Embassy of New York?? I have been calling and emailing for days and have not gotten a reply. They currently have my passport and all of the required documents for a non-immigrant B visa and COE. I have permission from the Thai government to work in Thailand and my school in Thailand has been calling/emailing. I am also booked on a repatriation flight and have my ASQ booked.

Has anyone actually talked to someone from the Royal Thai Embassy of New York or been able to receive a visa/COE from them?

Hey Guys any further murmurings regarding 1 July mandatory health insurance for O A Non immigrant Long Stay visas.

Currently in Darwin waiting on Police Clearance Certificate...thought it would be through already. So it looks like I will miss lodging my application by 1st July.

Can only hope the proposed Health Insurance is NOT implemented on 1 July.

Legs crossed.
