I'm interested in getting a DTV. I've been in Chiang Mai for a few months and I will be leaving in a couple of days, back to the USA. I want to return to Thailand in September and study Thai language and other areas of "Soft Power". I have the required amount of money in my American bank. Are there steps I should take in the next few days? Must I enroll in a Language class (I haven't decided which one)? I study Muay Thai now and will continue but that facility doesn't qualify yet for DTV. What advice can you give? Thanks.
Hello, just joined the group…my daughter and I are flying into Thailand Monday, but I was looking into getting a DTV (in the future). I’m interested in the cooking courses for the soft power DTV. Im looking into Pattaya. Any recommendations of which schools that do this?
Is anyone on an education visa and has left the country and come back in ?

I’m applying for a DTV visa for cooking classes in Thailand. The Thai/British Embassy requires the course to last at least one month. I’m being quoted 65k baht. £1500 for a one month course. No accommodation. Is this what you expect to pay.
Are you allowed to enroll in Thai language classes while living in Thailand on a Non-O retirement extension? At some point I'd like to learn the language - would I need to switch to education visa to do that? I haven't found anything on this online. TIA for any advice!
Does anyone know if you can perpetually study a non four year degree ie language classes or dive school etc and just keep renewing or reapplying each year for another 1 yr education VISA?. Thanks. I'm willing to legit study. I'm on a pension. Too young to get retirement Visa there. Starting a new thread here to be more direct.
