To get my DTV visa I am looking for an authorized school to take Thai classes, thank you for your advice because I need a cultural activity on site to be able to get it. Some of you ever get it this way?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The process of obtaining a DTV visa through Thai language classes is not straightforward, as learning the language alone does not qualify for the visa under the current requirements. Cultural activities that are acceptable include Muay Thai and cooking classes, but not just language courses. Some commenters mentioned that educational programs must include cultural education, like traditional Thai cooking or arts, to be eligible. A NON-immigrant ED visa might be an option if registered with a licensed Thai language school. Recommendations for schools in Thailand are requested by the original poster, and specific suggestions include Bangkok University and a school on Koh Samui.
Reputable courses, Bangkok University, are full time, 12 modules, if I remember correctly, 12,000 THB each. Upon completion, they claim, a foreigner can write letters to the editor of a newspaper.
My daughter, Thai, learned Thai as her first language, up to the age of 4.5. Then we moved to Japan, International school, English is the language she thinks in, dreams in, native.
After 400 lessons of Thai, with a professional Thai teacher, she says she is in Thai language like a 3rd grade of elementary school pupil.
She is a linguist, studying English Language and Literature in Australia (year 3), she knows what she is talking about.
