What are the fines for overstaying your visa by one or two days.?

Dear group, I want to apply for a retirement visa in Thailand and I am going to Bangkok and Pattaya from March to May and I think it is the easiest way to hire a visa agent in Pattaya to arrange this. what is your opinion on this. thanks in advance for your opinion. the problem is that when applying for the pension visa, the question is asked where I will live and I have not arranged that yet, so I cannot get any further in the visa application. I have no problem with the 800,000 bath. so income enough. I also have to find out the tax rules from a Thai lawyer and will therefore not stay in Thailand for more than 180 days. in connection with having my own house that has been paid off in the Netherlands. many thanks for your thoughts. Help please. I've applied for a Non-O visa while in Australia with the plan to convert to a retirement visa with the banked money method. Does my wife apply for the same type visa then apply as a dependent to me in the Thai retirement visa application process? Many thanks in advance for clarification.

This year I’m marrying a Thai woman. I plan in limit six months in Thailand and six months in the US what would be the best visa for me for Thailand and then Visa for my wife to come to the US and maybe work if she wants

My husband is currently back home in the UK. He’s applying for and will receive a new passport.

He’s on a non-O “Thai wife” visa and has a valid multiple reentry permit.

Can someone help to guide what the steps might be upon entering Thailand with said new passport - any additional forms to fill at immigration or prior to arrival in Thailand?

Advise about transferring his visa over once in Thailand would also be much appreciated.

Hi. Topic: the 1-year extension to a Non-O 90-day visa. Assuming all eligibility and financial requirements can be met, which option of the two : the extension based on Retirement, or extension based on marriage to a Thai, which is easiest, less hassle ? ( I know about the Bt400,000 price difference.)

I wish to retire to Thailand later this year. From UK, I’ll be depositing 800,000 in Bangkok Bank. My gf says they told her I just need my proof of accommodation (TM30?). Then I wait 2 months with proof of funds before applying for the year extension.

Does this sound like a plan ?

I've done a search for this already in the group, but the results were a bit dated.

I'm currently in Thailand on a tourist visa, but going to apply for a Non-O visa (spouse visa) in Kuala Lumpur in February. From the info I've gathered, everything is done online now. It recommends applying 2-weeks ahead of the intended travel date to Thailand, but also says you CANNOT apply from within Thailand.

I'm guessing that as soon as I touch down in KL, I should submit my documents. Has anyone done this? If so, how long did it take for them to process your visa?

Hi I live in Koh Tao and got married to a Thai in the UK in 2023. I want to change from my non-o 90 day visa to a one year non-o visa.

Have been told by my visa agent that she doesn't know how to help me... 🙄so hopefully you guys can help me.

What do I need to do? I have read many threads and there is always contradictory advice so I am very lost.

Do I apply for the 'affirmation of marriage status' form on the UK gov website? That form is worded as if it is for unmarried persons and also asks what date and location I'm going to be married in, which makes me think that is the wrong form for someone who is already married. Don't want to pay £75 for the wrong form.

I have heard I need to get a "kor ror 22" and also certify my UK marriage certificate then get it translated but not sure how to go about it.

Can anyone please shine some light on what I need to do?

I'm near the end of my 1 year multi entry visa, I have to choose between going immigration and get and extension or do a border run and get one last 3 months stamp from this visa.

The question is, if I go immigration, will they give me a 1 year extension or only 2 months extension?

I have 400k in thai bank but it's in investing account not saving account.
