Hi, can anyone tell me if you can buy a motorcycle on a 2 month tourist visa as need transport and I’m looking to get retirement visa when it runs out.

Was hoping to get car but need 12 month visa for that. If can’t , you have any ideas

Can I buy a new or used car in Thailand on a visa exempt? I read that a residence certificate is required too from Thai Immigration or my country’s embassy in Thailand, so how would that work if I’m on a visa exempt? Thanks

I am thinking of buying a car here and was wondering of this is as easy as just paying the money or is it more complicated in that I cannot have the vehicle on my name. I am looking at retiring soon and have an International driving licence valid until June 2026 have a full bike and car licence - just curious as fed up of car hire

For example, imagine we are living in Thailand, we have temporarily stayed in a Condo with our dog, after a short while looking we have found a great home to rent long term, how do I find out all the legalities I have to perform to ensure everything is in order and remains in order….

Imagine I want to purchase a car, how do I find out what I need to do to ensure everything is correct and in order and complies with Thai law…

Same with signing up for broadband, local mobile phone etc….

The list, I am sure is endless, I cannot keep asking on here (or can I 😏)

In my home country, I know the rules and regulations and requirements, I won’t have a clue in Thailand so could easily fall for an elaborate scam due to my ignorance and lack of understanding

Ok, so instead of asking how do YOU know, I guess I need to know How Would I Know/ Find Out?

US passport, elite, 90 days reports done. US embassy is currently 3 weeks out for appointments.
