For a non-O retirement extension, does the 800k baht in the bank need to be in 2 months prior to extension application or the due date?

My due date is June 1. A holiday. How is that handled? Is it a day lost.? Thanks.

I arrived in Thailand on a 3-month Non-O visa. After securing a lease and getting a letter from immigration, I was able to open a bank account. (Bangkok Bank refused me even with the immigration letter, but Kasikorn Bank accepted.)

Now I’m preparing to apply for a 1-year retirement visa. I have a few questions for those who have gone through this process, especially without using an agent:

1. Is medical insurance required for this visa?

2. How long do I need to wait after transferring the required funds before I can submit my application?

3. After the extension is granted, do I need to keep the full amount (or part of it) in the account, and if so, for how long?

I entered Thailand a month ago on a Non-Immigrant O visa, but haven’t transferred the 800K THB yet. Due to a change in circumstances, I need to return to my home country next month and stay for about two months. Because of this, I don’t plan to transfer the funds until I return to Thailand. Will this cause any issues when I apply for the same type of visa again soon?

Does your 800k have to be seasoned 60 days prior to applying for an O visa inside Thailand. I know it has to stay in the account afterward

Edited to reflect the O/P meant an O visa not an OA :)

I’m a newbie and will be applying for non O retirement visa when in Thailand next month after initial tourist visa from uk. A couple of quick questions please

1 , I don’t need to have funds in bank for non O retirementVisa but must have seasoned my funds 2 months before applying for extension to non O retirement visa ? Or whats the difference’s for people applying for the initial non O retirement extension and people applying for following years extensions?

2, A lot of post mentioned STV or tourist visa’s , is their any difference in the two when applying for non O retirement visa in Thailand

I think I’m overthinking the hole process, will it be a case of going to a visa shop and taking their advise or is it necessary to know the ins and outs of the process ?

I'm married to a Thai. I also have 2 half Thai children (3 and 1 years old). At the moment I'm on extension based on employment. As far as I understand I can meet the conditions for visa based on my family (except I haven't seasoned funds in my bank account). Are the conditions for seasoning funds in my bank account for extension based on raising-children/Thai-wife the same? 400k for 2 months before application + 1 month under consideration. Or are there any differences?

EDIT: My current extension based on employment is expiring on 30th April.

I intend entering Thailand on visa exempt and then get extension for another 30 days making 60 days in all. Near the expiry date I will apply for Non Immigrant visa type O. As I will need to have 2 months seasoned funds do I need to fund the bank in the 60 day visa exempt period ie have the funds in the bank before I apply for the 90 day O visa or can the funds be put in the account at the same time the O visa is granted thus having plenty of time to season the money. I am asking for this advice as I see there is often a problem opening a Thai bank account and I want to be sure I get the timing right for the 2 months seasoning

Hi team, ive finally made it back & almost finished quarantine in BKK.

I’m hoping to be in thailand 6 months per year, possibly more so am planning to apply for a non-o 12 month visa with marriage to Thai.

Ive arrived on a TR60 visa and plan on extending for 30 days.

I have legalised my marriage certificate back in UK

I’m just about to transfer 400k to my Thai bank account ageing it for 2 months..

I will report to CM Immigration on Wednesday with mrs to get the mt30 sorted.. I understand there is an app now that can be setup whilst there?

Do I apply when the money has aged at 2months, or shall I start it soon if it takes a while?

Also- does the bank account have to be over 400k all year or just the two months upto renewal?

Thanks in advance
