When I go for a 30 day extension for myself and family, does my entire family need to be there? I understand it can be an all day process which would be difficult for my kids. Could I go with their passports and get all of our extensions without them there.

Hello. I entered Thailand on the 60 days TR visa and extended my stay for 60 days reason being visiting my Thai wife. I saw some comments before saying that the 30 days tourist extension is separate from the 60 days family extension.

I tried to ask this at the Chang Watthana immigration office but they didn’t understand my question.

My question is, am I able to extend for an additional 30 days reason being tourism?

Thank you!

I've been on a non-o visa for purpose of marriage for five years. I'm due to renew Aug 27th. However, I'm going to be back in the USA for months beginning Sep 2nd and I plan on letting the visa cancel and eventually coming back in on a new one. I'm wondering if there is a way to extend the current non-o by one month at immigration for a fee rather than leaving the country early to cancel it. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

If I extend my visa two days before it expires, do I lose those two days?

I'm married to a Thai. I also have 2 half Thai children (3 and 1 years old). At the moment I'm on extension based on employment. As far as I understand I can meet the conditions for visa based on my family (except I haven't seasoned funds in my bank account). Are the conditions for seasoning funds in my bank account for extension based on raising-children/Thai-wife the same? 400k for 2 months before application + 1 month under consideration. Or are there any differences?

EDIT: My current extension based on employment is expiring on 30th April.

Hello, does anyone have any knowledge about obtaining a 1 year Family Visa Extension, please? I arrived in Thailand on 23rd March on a Non-Immigrant o Single entry 90 Day Visa.

I believe I need to obtain a Kor Ror 22 to be able to open a Thai Bank account and show 400k for 2 months before my application. I believe I need to get my marriage certificate and passport notarized at the British Embassy however I don’t believe I can do this in Bangkok and should have done this in the UK (where we were married).

I’ve asked a few Thais who have been very friendly but given partial or confusing information so far. Have any of you done this and maybe can suggest how it worked out for you, please. I guess I am probably not the first one to have this kind of question. I wonder if we will need to go back to the UK to get the documents Notarized and start all over again. Thanks Jason

I'm trying to get sorted right now with an extension for visiting children of Thai nationality. We have everything except for house registration. How do we get him under a house registration when we rent? Tried asking immigration but no clear answer. Just to get it done.

This is more of an FYI for the admins. Feel free to transmit the info if you want.

The Chiang Mai Immigration Office was slammed with people applying for a COVID extension today. They stopped doing other extensions (I was there to apply for an extension based on Thai family but couldn't because of this).

Hello and thanks in advance for your responses.

I arrived into Thailand on 15 October on a 90 day non-o based on marriage. As I had to serve quarantine followed by having to wait 7 days to get a residency certificate to open a bank account I will be in a situation whereby the 2 month seasoning of the 400k will only be achieved around 5 days before my 90 days are up.

Hence my question is for the extension of stay can I go to immigration and apply with only 5 days before the last day of my visa.

If not, what options are available - I understand that are 60 day extension based on Thai family is possible.
