Can I transfer my savings to an easy access account while applying for a DTV visa?
I’ve been holding over 12k in my bank account for months while I wait to apply for my DTV (had a bit of a hold up). I realise now I could’ve had it in an easy access saving account earning interest and it would’ve been fine 🫠. Can I transfer it now into an easy access saving account from my current account if I plan to apply for my DTV in July? Or will they see that that account is new and that the money’s only been in (that specific account) for 1 month? I’m from the UK but plan to apply in Laos. Thanks 🙏

For purposes of seasoning the funds, just leave it there. Don't put yourself in the position of a sudden change from, "1 month of seasoning is ok" to "we need 3 months of seasoning." Besides, a couple of more weeks in the current account isn't going to be the difference between your current financial status and being the next Elon Musk.

I would keep it where it is for simplicity until July. Once you get the visa then transfer it over.
