I intend entering Thailand on visa exempt and then get extension for another 30 days making 60 days in all. Near the expiry date I will apply for Non Immigrant visa type O. As I will need to have 2 months seasoned funds do I need to fund the bank in the 60 day visa exempt period ie have the funds in the bank before I apply for the 90 day O visa or can the funds be put in the account at the same time the O visa is granted thus having plenty of time to season the money. I am asking for this advice as I see there is often a problem opening a Thai bank account and I want to be sure I get the timing right for the 2 months seasoning
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user intends to enter Thailand on a visa-exempt entry before applying for a Non-Immigrant O Visa and is inquiring about the necessity of having funds seasoned in a Thai bank account. According to community responses, there is no requirement to season funds when applying for the Non-O Visa. However, for a 1-year extension, funds must be maintained in the account for 60 days prior to application.
