Dutch DTV approved

Just sharing processs for any fellow Dutch folks and hope it help anyone to navigate their insecurities and hope in approvals.

And Thank you to Thailand for always welcoming foreigners, unlike EU and other countries :-)

**

Processs**

E-Visa, applied online with embassy The Hague Netherlands. Do not require or need to go embassy in person, but they do require you to be in NL during when you submit the DTV visa and during the process, just in case you need to go embassy.

if you’re abroad during the application first day of visa submission, you will be rejected for sure.

I was rejected in July as I was still in Asia, because I thought it will take weeks and apply first only and fly back NL later to collect.

**First time: rejected 15 July 2024

**because I wasn’t in the same country of the embassy (Netherlands)

Second time : Approved 18 Aug 2024

Submitted : Wed 14 Aug (by online eVisa)

Approved: Sun 18 Aug (by email)

Request for additional docs: Yes.

Background profile:

* Dutch national

* official resident with work visa in Singapore

* solo DTV application

* I have a Pte Ltd (BV) company registered in Singapore since 2016

* I am sole director and sole employee

* Company is in retail/wholesale trading and consultancy.

Documents submitted during the first and second DTV application:

* passport bio page

* photo

* Flight ticket

* Proof of living address. I used my bank statement.

* Copy of Directors Resolution stating I’m working remotely from abroad as per 2023 in which I myself have outlined: authorization, responsibilities, communication, compliance to local law, review and termination.

* Properly stamped with company stamp and signature (in Asia an “official” company ink stamp and signature hold a lot of value and authenticity, though legally it doesnt. A signature only on a company letterhead is not considered official in most asian countries

* Bank statement from Wise, the amount I’ve recently transferred just a month ago before DTV submission. Just to make sure it’s all on one bank account for their convenience.

* If you use wise bank, get the signed statement report from wise desktop. Via the mobile App is not available. It has a real stamp and signature

Additional documents requested after submission:

* Proof of Company business registration certificate

* All pages of my passport including empty ones. This was abit of tech hassle as they only allowed max 3MB upload since I have a business passport with double amount the pages than a regular Dutch passport

* First submision in July: they only requested the stamped pages in my passport, after I submitted , they requested all pages of my passport.

* Second submission in August; they requested all pages immediately (this may have to do with change of rules, my first time submission was merely 2 weeks after they announced DTV

* My passport shows proof : a lot of stamps and visas as I travel incredible a lot for work .. entry and exit stamps almost every month throughout Asia and Europe.

Note:

Each embassy in each country is different.

I could have applied in Singapore as I am working there, but they said I have to apply in person and bring copy printed papers when collecting and will take 3-4 weeks. Singapore will start using eVisa online by October 2024.

Hello, my wife is going to extend her non-o(spouse of thai husband). Few questions

1. We live in Bangkok, Should we go to Chaeng Whattana goverment building or IT Laski for this extension

2. The TM-30 was filed before the visa stamp was issued, we didn't move but do we need to file again?

3. Do I (thai husband) need to provide proof of income?

4. Any current document list available?

5. Visa expires Sept 26, is there a cutoff date for extending visa?

Happy 2024, Group members!

I asked my landlord for an updated copy of my TM30 because Immigration said the old one was blurred. She can no longer access it on the Immigration website (the original TM30 application was filed a year ago).

Is the proper procedure for me simply to file a new TM30 application?

Hi, I am a US citizen, Do I need to show a return airline ticket to get the automatic 30 day tourist? I am also interested in the non-immigrant 0 A visa, if approved will that allow me to travel to other countries for vacation? Is it best to apply throu the e-visa site or apply there in Thailand?

Hi there,

I just got married to my French wife, who is here on a work NON-B BOI visa i.e. works for a BOI company.

I want to apply for a NON-O (dependent visa). The company she works for tells me that I cannot apply for it myself and they need to do the procedure themselves as they are BOI, and charge me THB 10K for it.

Is this correct that they need to do the procedure themselves on the BOI portal, hence I cannot take care of it myself?

Does the cost seem right?

Thanks in advance

Fyi, @Immi Chiang Mai, if you switch 1yr extension from married to retired, they still ask you the first time for an actual marriage certificate!, had 3weeks left on old extension, new retirement extension starts right away the day you apply, no add on, anyway, easy procedure (for u and the officers) 😅

Hi group.

I have a question trailing spouse visa to my husband’s non-O retirement visa.

My husband has a 1 year extension of stay (EoS) based on retirement using the 800k banking method. How can I be added as trailing spouse to his EoS?

I have friends that managed to do this 5+ years ago... in Kuala Lumpur and also Vientiane.

I contacted the Thai consulate in the USA (Wash DC) and they told me that it’s not possible to add a spouse to a non-O visa, (only to a work permit holder, which wasn't mentioned in the requirements on the e-visa website). Since I'd already paid $80usd, they issued me a 60 day tourist visa instead.

I read in this group that some couples have tried in recent times to get a dependent visa for their spouse.

Does anyone have actual experience with adding a spouse to a non-O EoS in Thailand? Or do I need to follow the same procedure as my husband did?

Current visas:

Husband: 1 year non-O based on retirement issued at Jomtien in Dec 2022.

Me: 50+ years old, 3 visits VoA since June 2022. Currently on 60 day tourist until March 22.

Thank you.

Asking for a friend. Regarding retirement visa.

Usually my buddy would go through an agent but this time they have decided to DIY visa.

They arrived in Thailand on a tourist visa. Went to immigration with all necessary paperwork and got a retirement visa (90 days). They now need to get their 1 year extension.

How long does it take to get the the extension? They drop-off their passport with all the paperwork, when can they get their passport back with the 1 year extension?
