Wanted to confirm that the 800,000 bht needed for the non-o 60 day bank deposit to receive one year extension does NOT have to be shown as an electronic transfer form outside of Thailand.

Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The 800,000 THB required for the Non-O visa extension does not necessarily have to be shown as an electronic transfer from outside of Thailand for the annual extension. However, if converting from a tourist visa to a Non-O visa at an immigration office, the funds must be a foreign transfer. There are also discussions about the necessity to prove the origin of the funds, which may vary by location.

At the moment there is also talk of the fact that the origin of the funds has to be proven. Maybe not the same everywhere.

You're not clear on what you're asking about.

You say non-O. If you're trying to convert from tourist to non-O visa inside of Thailand at an immigration office, the 800,000 must be a foreign transfer.

If you're talking about the annual extension (not a visa) then it does not need to show as an international transfer.

I arrived with a non-o 90 day retirement visa.

I will be applying for a one year extension with 800,000 in Thai bank for two months. From what you posted -it does not have to be deposited from a foreign account.

60 days is not two months (Nov 30, Dec 31) so you'd go a day early
