Has anyone applied for their first 12-month non-O retirement visa extension in Chiang Mai recently?

Should the 800,000 THB be in your account for two full calendar months or 60 days?

TLDR : Answer Summary
In Chiang Mai, applying for a 12-month non-O retirement visa extension requires the 800,000 THB to be in your account for two full calendar months, confirmed by comments indicating that immigration offices calculate this using full months (e.g., from January 5th to March 5th constitutes two months). Additionally, it's noted that the term 'retirement visa' is somewhat misleading as the initial entry visa is a 90-day Non-Imm-O visa, and the 12-month extension is an extension of stay rather than a renewal of the visa itself.

There is nothing such as a 12-month retirement visa extension

*** the “retirement visa” was the 90-days Non-Imm-O visa you entered with

*** you got stamped in for a 90-days stay permit, and the visa became “used” – it became invalid

*** Immigration will issue a 12-months extension of the stay permit

*** Thai Immigration calls it a “visa extension”, however this is technically seen, incorrect wording

Only very few Immigration offices are posting the correct wording like the Buriram office:

Every immigration office uses full months. Date to date.

January 5th until March 5th is 2 full months, regardless of the number of days.
