Any latest news regarding 60-day visa exemption being cut off?

It's been about 3 weeks since i have not seen nor read anything new about the scheme to revert back 60 days to 30 days (which is quite a good news for me, less anxiety). Like literally no coverage about it at all since the Iran vs US/Israel broke out. What are the chances Thailand REALLY slash off the 60 days visa exemption before end of this year? I myself come from Visa Exempted country, already booked my plane for early December 2026 and fly out of Thailand in 6 weeks later. I really dont wanna bother myself to apply for eVisa Tourist if not necessary at all.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion reflects concerns about potential changes to the 60-day visa exemption for tourists, with no recent updates or news as of the last few weeks. Comments suggest that if the exemption is reduced back to 30 days, it could be manageable since extensions are possible. Forum participants recommend reassessing the situation closer to the travel date, while also noting that announcements would come through official channels like the Royal Gazette and Immigration Bureau. A hint from a recent interview with the Prime Minister indicated that a reduction could be attempted before July, adding to the uncertainty.

Last week was an interview with the prime minister on Thai tv. He said tot change the 60 days into 30. Hey would try to get it done before July.

So to be sure, just check immigration.

IF it changed. IF. Then you'd get 30 days and could extend by 30 days. So no big deal.

There's been no change to date but you're not coming for another 9 months. Look at the situation around a month before your due to travel and assess then

I would suggest if you are showing a return ticket/date, there's should be no problem.

John Molloy The interim goverment can just run the country according to existing laws. Not change or make new laws. Or do you have any other sorce of info about that ?

Hǝınz Mɐzǝnɐnǝɹ that is correct because the 60 days was a temporary change anyway so it's reverting to the original
