I have a non-o retirement that I obtained last year, and I'm due to renew or reapply, in Bangkok.

updated after responses

Thanks folks. Noted that I'll be using the TM.7 instead of the TM.87 now.

origiinal question

I'm looking at the Bangkok immigration website and am not certain which form to use. The instruction sheet that I followed last time doesn't really explain how to renew/reapply the next year. The instruction sheet was obtained from that website last year with this name "9.for-retirement-purposes-50-years-old-non-o.pdf".

Do I start all over again with the TM.87? Which I thought was related to applying for a change in visa type, which I'm not doing.

I have an appointment for next week, and I'd like to get all of the paperwork done ahead of time and printed out.

Time to renew the non O retirement visa.

This is the list I've had for a while, wondering if there's been any changes other than the TM6 no longer being required ... ?

1. Passport with Non Immigrant O Visa inside.

2. Photocopies of:

•photo page of passport,

•page showing visa,

•page showing last entry date into Thailand.

3. TM.7 (extension of stay form completed and signed). Attach a passport photo and include phone number by your signature.

4. ~~Departure Card (TM.6) (make a photocopy)~~

5. 2 passport size photos

6. Proof of funds and or proof of income (letter from bank/embassy).

Bank letter cannot be more than 3 days old.

If using the lump sum application route, you'll need an updated photocopy of your bank book page that shows the balance.

Take your bank book along too.

7. Proof of address (copies of rental agreement, and utility bills (if you have them))

8. Application fee of ฿1,900 THB

*Sign all photocopies.

You have the option to renew your Thai retirement visa within 45 days of its expiry date. Nevertheless, it is generally advisable to submit your application between 3 and 4 weeks before the visa expires.

Hello everyone, I know this question has been asked many times before, but I’d appreciate your advice just in case anything has changed. I’m about to reach 2 months here in Chiang Mai, and I’m looking to extend my visa (I’m on a visa exemption/Colombian, which expires on October 27). I’ve heard that Central Festival is a good place to get it done. I’m aware the immigration office isn’t open on weekends, so I’m planning to do this between tomorrow and Friday, early in the morning. Could you please guide me on the current process, what documents are needed, and any additional tips? Thanks a lot in advance!

Hi

I have a non O immigrant visa and am going in to immigration to extent my visa for 12 months for the first time

I have filled out the TM.7 Have my proof of income statement from my embassy. Am 65 But unsure whether I need to fill out the Guarentor form and if so does that person have to accompany me to immigration. I went to the counter when I got my non O immigrant visa 2 months ago and asked for the forms for the extension for a retirement visa and they gave me the TM 7 and Guarentor forms ?

Thank you

Went to Kanchanaburi IB for first ever 30 day extension Tuesday 9th. It took less that thirty minutes. They had examples of TM.7 which was very helpful. They checked GF tm30 and she needed one small change on her tm30 record. They checked my tm 30 record everything was ok. I needed application(blue ink), passport, visa (METV), picture of tm 30 page where GF added me, passport like photo and 1900 Baht.

Good morning everyone! Apologies, I have asked a similar question before. I'm in KPG writing this 10 days into my Visa Free entry stamp. My intention is to extend this. Someone in this room did mention to wait until a week before the expiry of my Current Visa-free permit if I was to apply at immigration on this Island. I would like to firm up ongoing plans, flights, bookings etc so ideally would like to head on in and apply now. This leads me to this question? Will they send me away? Is it random depending on how busy the Officers might be? Really only after personal anecdotes and I understand there's no real hard and fast rule. Lastly, I have prepared my TM.7 form and passport photos. Should I get a document of residence from the place I'm staying as well? Thanks and look forward to hearing of any experiences. Rog.
