When I applied for my visa it came back it said it needed letter indicating your intention to contact the Immigration Office in Thailand to extend the day I didn’t understand
Answer summary
The user is confused about needing a letter to indicate their intention to contact the Immigration Office in Thailand regarding the extension of a 60-day tourist visa. Several comments request additional details about the type of visa applied for and suggest that if the user is over 50 and meets financial requirements, they might consider applying for a Non-O visa instead, which could allow for a longer stay without needing an extension.

Honestly, if Age over 50 Years old and able to meet the Financial Requirements of a Non–O E–Visa based on over 50 Years old ( ฿800k Baht Bank Account Balance or Monthly income of ฿65k Baht per Month ), and, if travel plans are to stay 61 to 90 Days, get the Non–O E–Visa and no need to plan for an Extension of Stay at your local Thai Immigration Office inside Thailand
is this for a Single Entry Tourist E–Visa (SETV) at the Thai Consulate in Chicago and is this an Additional Documents Request sent by Email/Thai eVisa Website?
What precisely does the Email for Request Additional Documents say?
Not sure I entirely follow but it sounds like they you applied for a visa which requires you to obtain an extension inside Thailand to remain in Thailand. Did you apply for the 90 day Non-O visa or something else?
