I'm doing my DTV application now. And I have accommodation with the muay thai gym I go for the soft power visa.

So, in the section where you put your accommodation, I have one night in Bangkok, then the day after, I will travel to the city where the gym is and have three nights' accommodation somewhere else before I go to the gym.

I only have 2 accommodation types I can fill in.

What is best to do? Skip the second accommodation in the form and just do Bangkok and then the gym?

Hope you understand my question.

Hello I am going to apply for DTV visa tomorrow from cambodia thai embassy and I have a concern about bank statement as it shows “bank statement for three months” on application form but it says nothing about holding on the account in cambodia thai embassy page. I just generated the bank statement today as well and over 500,000 thb is there in my statement. Can anyone assist me on this? Thank you!

I'm trying to decide between the digital nomad option and the Soft Power option (Muay Thai). I have a wife and 2 kids (4 and under) that I hope can be dependents on my DTV. We do intend to stay in Thailand for most of the 5 years (while complying with the 180 day requirement) as we will be receiving financial support to do volunteer work.

I hope to try and get our application right the first time and thus I have concerns about both options:

Digital Nomad - I have solid proof of income from working as a mental health therapist with various firms but I will be working minimally with these firms if we were in Thailand because of our transition to volunteer work and time zone differences. If we did get approved for this option, would I have to show that I've earned income from these firms while re-entering Thailand on the DTV?

Muay Thai - I have no problem attending classes for years if we get approved for this option. My concern is whether my wife and kids will be approved as dependents since Im assuming most people pursuing this option are single men.

Any feedback/clarity you can give will be appreciated!

Hello everyone

I came to Thailand in February for 2 weeks,

I then returned in March for 2 weeks trying to get my girlfriend a visa for the UK ( which was unsuccessful this time)

I am flying back to Bangkok on 21 st June for 2 days, we then both of us go to Vietnam for 2 weeks before coming back to Thailand again for 4 days.

Even though I will be under the time limit allowed I will have been to Thailand 4 times in 6 months

Will this be an issue?

So trying to clarify. Going to immigration tomorrow for my visa exempt to Non O. Then 9p days later for Non o for marriage.

For this Non O. The information person at immigration said our two witnesses need to come in person. Which I've never had to do prior or heard of. Is this correct? I don't want our two witnesses to have to drive the almost 2 hour drive for no reason.

I’m debating whether to do soft power for cooking for my dtv or workcation since I work remotely but I’m not sure if my offer letter or employment contract specifically states that they don’t mind where I work but it does state that it’s a remote position. I could ask them for one but asking them to do anything in a timely manner is a joke. The offer letter/contract does specifically state I only have to be local for equipment pickup not sure if that matters. Any insight or advice would be appreciated. I also plan to get my 15 year old daughter a dependent dtv visa and I’m assuming I’ll wait until I’m approved then submit my approval with the same bank statements i am using along with her passport and passport photos. Will my drivers license, her learners permit, and a utility bill be enough for proof of address? I’m not sure if I’ll apply here in the US or wait until I go to Hanoi.

What about a REMOTE WORKER DTV when you Just start your own company, and don’t have any clients history yet.

Any experiences.?

Morning everyone,

I am about to submit my application tonight or tomorrow.

Something that changed and probably came with the recent update is the travel information section. It sais:

last port of embarkation

then choose the type of transport, choose from land, sea, air and

vehicle number

Pretty confusing.

Last port of embarkation I would put “Laos” in there as my trip to enter Thailand starts in Laos. I would enter Thailand by bus so I would choose “land”. How about the vehicle number? I don’t know when exactly I will be traveling and what the number plates of the bus will be on that trip.

Any suggestions for that?

Hi,

I was granted the Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) under my old passport (Passport 1).

I now have a new passport (Passport 2), because Passport 1 has less than 6 months left.

When I arrive in Thailand, I will bring:

– Passport 2 (new and valid)

– Passport 1 (used for the DTV application)

– The DTV approval email linked to Passport 1

Will the immigration officer understand this and stamp the DTV into Passport 2 without any problem?

Or should I do something in advance to avoid any issue?

Thanks for your help.
