Thanks for accept.

Live in Laos, i'm norwegian. Just one question; is it still the same regarding 2 crossings per/year from Laos to Thailand?

Is it normal procedure for Thai immigration to keep a persons passport overnight or for several days when one applies for a student visa ? I have always been instructed to never part with my passport while traveling . This just doesn’t feel correct to me .

Hey all,

is it right now possible to border bounce by ourselves?

My husband and I wanted to do a world trip, which ended in a longterm stay (6 months) in Thailand.

Now we are not sure if we stay really longterm and get a DTV or leave in 2-3 months.

As we have two dogs a border bounce by plane is not an option.

So we would drive by car and try to get a new visa stamp, without crossing with our dogs to avoid getting the export papers for them.

Is that currently possible, as many of you tell about struggles with border bounces?

Thank you 🙏🏻

Question: I'm a retired American living permanently in the Philippines. I just spent 12 days mostly in Pai. I'd like to go back and stay for 60 days plus get a 30 day extension for a total of 90 days. Do I need to subtract the 12 days from my 90 day stay making it a total of 78 days? O read where you can only stay 90 days in a 6 month period. Thanks in advance

Hello everyone

Surely that this question has already been passed and I apologize but I do not find any trace!

I planned my arrival in Thailand in early October 2025 to retire.

After much research I am confronted with many contradictions.

Regarding the obligations for the O and OA visa, a monthly income of 65,000 BTH or a bank deposit of 800,000 BTH or a combination of both is required: annual income + bank deposit must be 800,000 BTH . Can you confirm this last point?

I question you here because "youtubers" in place for years in Thailand indicates this modality that I do not see any way in my research.

Then for an application for a visa on the official website it is required an address of residence in the host country ( Thailand ) : or, youtubers indicate that the application for a visa can be made from abroad ( France ) for me . Necessarily impossible for a first expatriation: can you enlighten me about it please

These youtubers who ask for 60 Euros for an hour of telephone exchange! In view of the contradictions I have noted, I am not hot for this approach, that is why I am addressing you.

My girlfriend’s on the 5-yr DTV visa and she’s convinced she doesn’t need to do 90-day reporting. Have you heard that there are exceptions? Because I thought it was mandatory for all foreigners. Are there any penalties if she doesn’t do it?

Muay thai Soft power DTV - I have the 500k and all the docs required but no income for few years.

Is the ''unemployed'' occupation a red flag for them ?

Do we better have to put freelancer instead ?

Any similar situation ?

Scammer alert! I approached this dude in this group and he told me he can help me with applying for the DTV, but now he isn't responding to my messages despite receiving money from me. His personal account name is Min Bo Aung and he seems to have an office located in Bangkok. The amount of money scammed is insignificant, but I just want to warn others.
