Border bouncing... I have been in and out many times with my DTV and never any questions about my stay or request for extra documents. Stays have always been relatively short though and weeks were spent out of the country. Current visit is going to be close to the 180 days, and then I would like to fly into KUL, stay just one night, and fly back in the following day. Any one had any issues with a next day border bounce, any scrutiny?

Hey all,

is it right now possible to border bounce by ourselves?

My husband and I wanted to do a world trip, which ended in a longterm stay (6 months) in Thailand.

Now we are not sure if we stay really longterm and get a DTV or leave in 2-3 months.

As we have two dogs a border bounce by plane is not an option.

So we would drive by car and try to get a new visa stamp, without crossing with our dogs to avoid getting the export papers for them.

Is that currently possible, as many of you tell about struggles with border bounces?

Thank you 🙏🏻

To people that are border bouncing towards the end of your 180 days:

Do not fall into the trap of forgetting about your second 90 day report.

This is due 90 days after your first 90 day report which you likely completed before 90 days had passed, hence your second 90 day report will be due before your 180 day visa stamp expires.

If you are leaving the country within 90 days of your first 90 day report then you will be absolutely fine 👍

Hi all 👋

I'm sorry for the redundance of this question but I can't find any clear answers on my researches... I'm here on a 60 days exemption visa (fr), already did the extension of 30 extra days and now planning on doing an exit/re-entry of the country in order to get another 60days exemption of visa. I'll take the train from Bangkok to Poipet on my own. (No agencies)

Is there any clear law about the obligation or not to stay one night in Cambodia before going back to BKK ? Does it depend on the border you choose ?

Thank you very much in advance for your help🙏

Am here on US visa exempt 30 day. Just extended thru immigration for 1900 baht. How many times can I extend thru immigration? I know about border bouncing and have done many.

Are border bounces still possible to Malaysia with the implementation of the ETA system? Anyone done one recently?

Hi everyone,

I spent 8 months in Thailand this year on visa exemptions + extensions. I plan on going back in March 2024 on another visa exemption, which will be around 4ish months since I last left Thailand.

Based on everyone's experience, will l encounter any hassles upon entry to BKK Airport? Should I just apply for a Tourist Visa (even though that is not a fool proof plan either)? I have an Australian passport for context.

Thank you!

Question:

- I have applied and been granted a 60 day Tourist Visa. It hasn’t been used/activated yet.

- I am now staying on 30 days+30 days extension.

- I have already had 2 land border entries in this calendar year (2023)

So, from my understanding, it’s clear that I can’t have another 30 days via border bouncing over land -

But what about leaving and entering again via land on the approved TR visa?

Or does the rule about entries by land border still apply? 🤔

Would be great to gain some clarity on this! 🤷‍♂️🙏✨
