Is it possible to extend my on arrival visa as a Canadian? Or do I need to do a boarder run?

I’ve been living here since September but my student visa ended. So I just did a trip to Cambodia and back but for some reason I thought I can extend the on arrival visa?

.2 Do I have to go to the office for the extension on the last day of my visa being valid or can I go before and still enjoy 30 days from my last valid visa day?

Actually i have applied for Thai Visa a few days back.

Today i received my passport with the visa, but a 'VOID' stamped on it.

Can anyone tell me, is there any problem in travelling to the country and if in case my visa is rejected, can i apply again for on arrival visa. I have confirmed flight tickets for 27th oct 2022.

I heard about this special covid-19 extension for stranded tourists but I would not extend that way but the normal way. Is it still available or it's only the emergency extension is?
